Rp_News88..Not all fat deserves to be antagonized. Especially the fat that comes from avocados.

Recent studies have found that avocado consumption can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart disease. Avocados are known as one of the fruits that are rich in healthy fats.

The study, published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, examined data from about 68,000 women in the Nurses Health Study and 41,000 men from the Health Professionals Follow-up Study. They were declared healthy without chronic diseases such as cancer, coronary heart disease, or stroke.

In the initial stage, the study participants' eating patterns were assessed through a questionnaire. Research is continued in stages every four years.

During 30 years of research documentation, 14,274 incidents of cardiovascular disease were found. A total of 9,185 of them were incidents of heart disease, and 5,290 of them were incidents of stroke.

Researchers also analyzed the lifestyle of the participants with the last observed medical condition. It found that participants who ate avocados two or more times a week had a 16 percent lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease than the group of participants who did not eat avocados.

In more detail, it was also found that avocado consumption made the risk of heart disease found to be 21 percent lower in those who ate avocados.

In conclusion, in this large study of US men and women, higher avocado intake was associated with a significantly lower risk of cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease. No significant association was observed for total or ischemic stroke," the researchers wrote.

However, this research still has limitations. For example, diet reporting is done independently, which may be biased.

To validate the results of this study, further studies are needed to assess the impact and effectiveness of avocado intake in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.

[However] our study provides further evidence that intake of plant-sourced unsaturated fats can improve diet quality and is an important component in the prevention of [cardiovascular disease] in the general population," they added.
